One of the more controversial works on IQ testing (and one written for a general audience, not specialists). While the author has (in other works) done a great deal of analysis of socio-cultural bias in mental testing, his ultimate conclusion is that at least some of what we call intelligence is heritable (genetic), which has been seen as having or raising serious sociological issues, since it may have ethno-racial implications, or at least be bendable in that direction. There is newer research, but it's not clear that it really contradicts Jensen's work, and much of the research that could have been done has not been due to high politicization of the questions. At any rate, this book is among those most central to debates about IQ testing and other psychometrics and their implications.
This PDF copy came direct from  Jensen's memorial website, and is superior to the DJVU rip, being both a clearer copy, and OCRed (so you can copy-paste text from it).
